Facts
- With less than a month on the PLW roster, Shane, along with his tag team partner Dutch Davidson, won the Tag Team Championship; the first of three times.
- After losing the tag titles for the third time, and Dutch out with an injury, “Stunning” Shane entered singles competition.
- Defeated Maniacal Mark to win New England Title.
- When Dutch returned from injury, he turned on Shane. Dutch was jealous of Shane’s success. The two feuded over the New England Title for months. Dutch defeated Shane for the title. After Shane beat Dutch to regain it, the two buried the hatchet.
- Left PLW to serve in the National Guard, where he got the nickname “American Eagle”.
- Proposed to his now wife, Holly, in the ring, asking her to be his “tag team partner for life.”
- Fought then World Champion T.J. Richter in 2 title matches: won first, by DQ, lost second, due to questionable methods by Richter’s manager Johnny Velour.
- Winner of 1996 Power-House Brawl, granting him another World Title shot.
- "Simons-Richter III" The third time the two met for the World Title. Shane defeats Richter to become champion, completing the PLW Triple Crown.
- Gave up World Title in May 1997, for medical reasons. Shane briefly worked as a referee and ring announcer.
- Returned to wrestle in May 1998.
- Over the years, had an on-again-off-again feud with “Lethal” Paul Lauzon. But in 1999 the two came to an understanding and formed a tag team: The Lethal Eagles.
- Wrestled ECW/WWE Superstar Little Guido at Power-Fest 2000. Also had ECW/WWE Superstar Spike Dudley in his corner.
- Works behind the scenes as PLW’s Event Coordinator.
